Reminder or Summons

You have received a reminder or summation from us. This letter states that you must pay an amount, including our collection costs.

You can pay in one go or request a payment arrangement via this website. If you have paid or have agreed to a payment arrangement, the matter is done. If you have any questions about this letter, you can contact us.

It is important that you take action. If you do not pay, there are consequences:

  • We can seize your property
  • We can ask your employer or benefits agency to transfer part of your salary or benefits to us
  • We will ask your bank to transfer the money in your account to us.

In addition, extra costs will be billed. The amount that you have to pay will therefore increase.

Can’t pay

Are you unable to pay the full amount? Contact us! Together we will search for a solution. We can reach a payment arrangement with you. Then you do not pay the amount in one go, but in instalments. If necessary, we can also refer you to a debt counsellor.

Objecting

If you do not agree with the reminder, you can object. How you should do this differs per type of fine.

How it works

Write a letter stating why you do not agree that you should pay.

The letter you have received from us contains the address to which you should send your letter. Do this within two weeks of receiving the letter.

The judge will consider your letter. You have to pay costs for this. You can see how much here. Do you have a low income? In that case, ask in your letter whether you may pay less.
